Silver jewellery looks lovely when new, but over time it will tarnish, becoming dark and dull. Here is a quick way to restore the shine.
- Line a bowl with tinfoil, shiny side up.
- Add 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda.
- Pour boiling water into the bowl.
- Place item to be cleaned in the solution.
- Leave for five minutes.
- Remove, rinse and dry.
