The Library

This is my reference library - books I've read which I felt had useful information, though I did not necessarily agree with the authors' viewpoints. Most of them I've borrowed from the local public library, so do not have my own copy, which is why in some cases I've taken notes on important points. Follow the link to find out more about each title.

On my 'to read' list; some I've come across in reviews, others recommended by a friend.
  • The Collapse of Complex Societies by Joseph Tainter (Cambridge Univ. Press, 1990)
  • The Invisible Woman by Helen Walmsley-Johnson (Icon Books, pbk 2015)
  • A Notable Woman by Jean Lucey Pratt (Extracts from a diary she began aged 15)
  • The House of Twenty Thousand Books by Sasha Abramsky (Halban, pbk 2014)
  • Empire of the Summer Moon by S.C. Gwynne (40 year battle for the control of the American West. 978.02)
